Marketing Strategies - Summary
(Revised 9Feb99 at 20:29)

Public Relations -

  • Because HI will be revolutionizing the way our society deals with environmentally sensitive waste streams, our marketing and sales campaign will be equally proactive and aggressive.

  • HI's public relations campaign will outline a calculated, but aggressive, program focused on community relations and media strategies. Public relations will be critical to our overall message. If focused and pointed, our message will heavily impact the traditional way the public views environmental disposal systems.

  • The facts are, environmentalism sells and our public relations program will sell this new environmental ethic to the world. Not to mention, it's the right thing to do, at the right time!

  • The primary focus at this time will be to make the Indianapolis (HI Disposal Systems of Indiana, LLC) Waste Processing Facility successful. If the Indianapolis facility is a successful model (both from an environmental protection standpoint and a profitability standpoint) the parent company (HI Disposal Systems, LLC) will have no problem marketing, permitting, building and/or licensing these facilities throughout the world.
Communities and Business that are affiliated with
HI’s Waste Disposal Facilities will have a chance to
Greatly Enhance their Public Image.

Strategic Alliances -

Quite possibly, strategic alliances will be the most important market penetration strategy HI can implement. Because HI is new to the waste business, there are a number of barriers that we may encounter if we don’t partner with existing businesses that provide the services.

  • One potential alliance could be an investment alliance. For example, HI could offer equity ownership in one or more of the individual facilities we build. If waste haulers and/or waste generators have a vested interest in an individual facility, they will most likely commit their business to that facility.

  • A second strategy will be to partner with individual haulers,. HI will work with them to provide generators an overall package. The Haulers will incorporate our marketing strategy into their sales program. Pricing advantages will be proportionate to volume.

HI must continuously identify opportunities to partner with companies that have an interest in the type of service we provide whether it is a hauler, a generator, or energy based utility.

  • A prime candidate for partnership will be the utility industry. As deregulation comes to fruition, there will be several utilities interested in making such investments. They will most likely create a "utility" package to potential customers. HI has the same potential to formulate an energy/disposal package to hospitals. We will enhance mutual success with those utilities that are identifying opportunities to maintain and expand their "hospital" customer base in a deregulated environment.

HI plans to position itself in the medical waste industry that will allow HI to enter into various partnership arrangements with local communities and/or businesses that may have an interest in our facilities. Potential buyers/lessors/partners may be major waste haulers, local haulers, large hospitals, and communities that want to take charge of their own waste streams, etc.

We have no intentions of going into a community and trying to take the medical waste business away from the locals, or others, which already have the medical waste business. We want to provide the industry with an alternative source of medical waste disposal, which really works for both them, and the environment.

  • We also hope to have financing available that will allow HI to lease the facility, as a turn-key operation, to any of the above potential clients, partnership, and/or ourselves.

  • It would be to our benefit to build regional facilities in certain parts of the country, in order to stimulate business in that area. If one of the big companies wants to later buy it, or be our partner, we will entertain proposals.
The bottom line is that we plan to identify, whenever possible, the opportunity to partner with other companies that have an interest in our technology and our waste disposal facilities. If not, it will be difficult for HI to grow at the rate we expect to grow.
