HI's PBPV System is a plasma-based pyrolysis/vitrification waste disposal system that completely destroys the waste it processes, enabling communities, and local industries to be more environmentally responsible for their own waste streams. Avoiding the potential dangers of transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams over long distances - and, Virtually eliminates toxic air contaminants (TAC's) and doxins from the environment, as compared to landfills, incinerators and other waste disposal technologies. HI's (PBPV) System uses a plasma-arc heating system to process medical (infectious) & hazardous (chemical) waste streams, causing vitrification of the waste into a non-leachable, non-hazardous, reusable glassy compound that HI plans to use in other products . This process also produces reusable gasses, which are used in other industrial processes; such as the production of methanol, electricity, or steam. HI estimates that approximately 1/3 of its energy costs will be recovered from the by-products produced from HI's PBPV System.
