The Costs In business cheaper is not always      better - in the long-term or the      short-term ... You may have heard that you usually   get what you pay for - disposing of   waste is no exception … Some may believe that short-term technologies are less expensive     than plasma energy ...

The Costs - 2 But are they really cheaper or less expensive ? The history of closing and maintaining landfills is an expensive process,         costing communities tens of millions       of unexpected dollars over a lifetime ... Post closure funds usually do not      cover future costs, hidden costs,          and changing requirements -                                         is this cheaper ?

The Costs - 3 Landfills leak: killing fish & birds, contaminating the food supply, and causing cancer in humans -                   is this cheaper ?
